Political Democracy

We’ve already attempted to develop systems to combat problems inherent to hierarchies. These systems attempt to close the feedback loop by massively improving bottom up communication. Such systems are dubbed ‘democracies’.

Democracies should be highly functional in theory. However, our natural and innate hunger for power figured out that our material states can very easily be misused in order to bypass politically democratic systems.

This can be done in a myriad of ways. Directly through lobbying, or indirectly through the control of media and education. What’s common between all methods used to subdue democracies involve economic power of some men over others.

It seems that a real political democracy is impossible without an underlying economic democracy.
